One of the most pressing issues of recent decades is migration issues. In the context of globalization, the world is in a state of constant transformation of migration, its types and scales of migration flows.
Currently, the migration factor plays a significant role in ensuring aspects of national security and the clash of national interests. For many years, the EU has been consistently formulating its foreign policy with the aim of effectively managing migration, involving countries of origin and transit of migration flows in cooperation with the help of such foreign policy instruments as development policy and regional consultative processes.
The relevance of studying migration policy is due to the expansion of the legal field and the increased attention of the international community to human rights issues, including the right to free movement. Kazakhstan is actively involved in international migration, which actualizes the search for effective instruments for its regulation in the country. In this context, studying the EU migration policy will allow us to identify positive experience in migration management and use it in Kazakhstan.
